Danielle-Ann Thomas comes to The PLK Law Group from Columbia Law School, where she will serve as a staff member of the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts and the Constitution-Election Chair of the Black Law Student Association. She is a graduate of Northeastern University having majored in the Music Industry and received minors in Business Administration and Law, Policy, and Society. Her interest in music, and subsequently intellectual property, is derived from her desire to be involved in the process of developing an artist’s creative content to introduce it to the listening audience. At The PLK Law Group, Ms. Thomas has worked on a variety of matters including, reviewing contracts and preparing memoranda regarding client strategy; drafting cease-and-desist letters to trademark and copyright infringers; and registering intellectual property. In the future, Ms. Thomas plans to continue to work in intellectual property to help develop and secure the expression and ideas of creators.
“The PLK Law Group provides a unique, challenging environment that both develops legal skills and fosters creativity, and has shown me how intellectual property and transactional law support the creation and development of brands.”
